Bradwell with Pattiswick is a small, rural civil parish located in the Braintree District of north Essex. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, the parish includes the historic village of Bradwell and the hamlet of Pattiswick, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting while remaining within easy reach of Braintree, Coggeshall and the A120.

The area is known for its strong sense of community, beautiful farmland, and rich history — with roots stretching back over a thousand years. Today, Bradwell with Pattiswick remains a vibrant and active parish, home to local events, organisations, and a Parish Council that works on behalf of all residents to protect and enhance the quality of life in this special corner of Essex.

Parish Council Meetings – 2025

Bradwell with Pattiswick Parish Council meets on the second Monday of each month (excluding August) at 7:30pm in Bradwell Village Hall, Church Road, CM77 8EP.

The Parish Council plays an important role in representing the local community. Its responsibilities include:

  • Commenting on planning applications and local proposals

  • Supporting local initiatives and improvement projects

  • Working with other authorities and organisations for the benefit of the parish

  • Reporting issues and helping coordinate services

  • Acting as a link between residents and higher tiers of local government

All meetings are open to the public and press, and we warmly encourage residents of all ages to attend and have their say about what matters most in the parish.

In addition to regular monthly meetings, we also hold:

  • Extraordinary meetings (when needed for specific issues)

  • The Annual Parish Meeting and Annual Parish Council Meeting each May
