Fly-tipping isn't just an eyesore...it damages our local environment, harms wildlife, and costs taxpayers money to clear up.
During Keep Britain Tidy’s Fight Fly-Tipping Fortnight, Bradwell with Pattiswick Parish Council is encouraging all residents to help keep our village clean, safe, and green!
How you can help:
Dispose of waste responsibly using local council waste and recycling centres. Check before you hire! If you pay someone to take away your waste, make sure they are a licensed waste carrier. You can be fined if your rubbish is dumped illegally by someone else!Follow these three simple steps:
-
Ask for a waste carrier licence
-
Check the number on the Environment Agency’s public register or call 0300 065 3000.
-
Check you’ll get a receipt.
Report fly-tipping: If you spot dumped waste in our parish, report it to Braintree District Council or report it following this link https://www.braintree.gov.uk/streets-transport-parking/report-fly-tippingLink to Check on Public Register: Waste Carriers, Brokers and Dealers
Let’s work together to protect our local community!
