We are sharing the following update from National Highways:
Work is progressing well on the LED street lighting upgrades along the A120. The next phase involves installing LED streetlights between Dunmow South Interchange and Panners Roundabout.
Why LED lighting?
LED lights are more environmentally friendly, use significantly less energy, last longer, and require less maintenance. This means fewer road closures in the future and safer roads for everyone.

National Highways plan to carry out drainage work on the A120 Marks Tey. Once complete, the road will be able to disperse surface water better and will be less prone to flooding.
They plan to complete this work over two nights between Monday 4 August and Wednesday 6 August. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
What to expect
-
Temporary three-way traffic lights will be in place at the T-junction where Mott’s Lane joins the A120 during the works.
-
Noisy activity is expected due to the nature of the drainage repairs.
-
Liaised with the local bus company, and the bus stop will be temporarily relocated during the works.
A map of the three-way traffic control and temporary bus stop is shown below.
